Hello, Gorgeous!

First of all, welcome, Mamapedia readers! Also, allow me to heartily thank everyone who emailed and commented after my weight loss post the other day.  The answer to the most frequently asked question: yes indeedy, we’ll be going into specifics and expanding the series.

There are sane, rational, downright pleasant ways to lose weight, keep it off, and get healthy.  If you’d like, you and I shall walk through them together; I’ll even hold your hand.  We can sing kum-bah-ya, or, if you’d rather not experience the shrieking that is my warbling, not.  (Like Elizabeth Gilbert says in Eat Pray Love, I, too, am the world’s most affectionate life form.)

Let’s start now: I’ve actually folded one of those nifty Stay Fit tips into today’s Weekend Happy.

Join me as we sail upwards into the air…

I’ve been working on a food podcast for my fabulous email subscribers: it’s a foolproof play-by-play (of how to make “George Swoony Eggs”) that you can put on your iPod and take to your stove.  These eggs are truly scrumptious, so if George Clooney ever does sit his fine tush at your kitchen table, don’t forget to thank mamma.  ;)

I’m still recovering from the swooniness of it all, so today’s post is short.  And visual.  No Clooney, but I hope it makes your eyes happy anyway.  These photos remind me how much fun it is to catch yourself thinking visually.  Training yourself to think visually, by “framing” the world the way a camera does, is a wonderful creativity exercise.
